Pick the Better Cover...

Hi everyone,

I need a vote from a kid's point of view.

We (the publisher, author and I) need to know which cover would make you want to buy the book more.

The book is for kids 10-13 or around those ages.

As a tween, which cover makes you want to know more about the book?

I like the bottom one because it looks neater.

I like the first one because it looks like it uses more effort and I think it just looks better to me. The first one looks better made and neater as well.

What genre is it? And what is it about?(If you could give us a summary then that would help.)

I like the top one better because it grabs my attention more than the bottom one and it would be the cover I would pick of the shelf. If it is really fantasy I would pick the bottom one cause that one looks more fantasy like. But other wise the top one.

I prefer the top one because I like it rougher - looking because the names in the title sound tough and rough, so it go's together.

I did not give a summary for a reason, I wanted the gut instint. I wanted to know, would you pick it up to find out what it was about and which one would make you do that.
