At The Learning Institute for the Very Enlightened, we learn with the kids from the Secret Benedict Society about the Whisperer. What is the Whisperer? What is its purpose? How does it work? Why does it make the messengers feel so good about themselves when they sit in it and put the helmet on their heads? What do you think of such a device?
The wisperer is a machine that sends messages through your head by wispering to you. It works by useing Mr.Curtains brain. It makes messengers feel so good because it covers up their fears. I think that the device is amazing but should be useed for good purposes not evil.
The Whisperer is an oversized metal armchair with a blue helmet bolted to the seat back and another helmet that was red protruding into empty air behind it. Also known as a brain sweeping chair. It's purpose is to record the minds of children and play them. It works by putting one of the helmets on your head then the whisperer actually whispers to you. First it will ask you a couple questions and after that you must repeat the phrase that Mr. Curtain told you to recite. The whisperer makes people feel better by in one of it's questions asking them their fear then hiding it so they will feel better. I think the device maybe one of the coolest things I have ever heard about. Just the thought about a device that can take the thoughts of a person and record it so other people can hear it makes me think. That is what I think of the whisperer.
Does it really record, then is used as a broadcast message? I thought so, but since there's finally someone mentioning that, I thought I'd make it clear.
The Whisperer is a device used to control the children, so the children can broadcast the messages. It asks the children questions through their thoughts. The Whisperer asked the children what their fear was, and hid their fear so they would feel better. I think it is an appaling device, although it should be used for good and not EVIL!
The Whisperer is an evil machine that can read your thoughts. It is also the way Mr. Curtain sends the hidden messages. To use it you have to sit with Mr. Curtain in the seats and put on the two helmets and close your eyes. It makes the messangers feel so good because the Whisperer thinks their thoughts for them. I think it would be very relaxing but at the same time hard because I am not allowed to trust it.

The Whisperer is Mr. Curtain's machine that sends hidden messages. The messages are supposed to brainsweep people so they don't remember anything bad like FBI agents going missing. The Whisperer works by, Mr. Curtain putting on the red control helmet and thinking his name. Then, the Messenger puts on a blue helmet and thinks his/her name. After that, the Messenger has to think of his/her greatest fear. The Whisperer makes the Messenger feel so good because it sends an illusion to the messenger's mind of why the Messenger shouldn't be afraid of their greatest fear. I think this kind of device is horrible! It makes people think that nothing bad is happening or nothing bad has happened in the world.
The Whisperer can brainwash people but can become the most comforting chair of all. When Reynie and Sticky had it used on them, they wanted to do it again. It makes your higest fears seem to go away. I think that must be really comforting, knowing you are not afraid of that certin thing anymore. All you have to do is sit in a chair with a helmet on and your fears wash away! But the catch is that is just covers your fears up. Since I know alot about horses and have two, I'll make this simile. Say you go to a horse auction looking for the calmest horse to bring home. It looks like the two year old ex-racehorse is the calmest. Come to figure out, the owner drugged it to cover up its insane attitude. The owner just drugged it up. On this earth, to get rid of a fear is to face it, not to cover it up. It is a very evil machine.
